Petri's Place - Group Project Wish List

Please reach out to Petri's Place via email (friends@petrisplace.com) or via text at 210-602-9737 if you would like to put together OR join a group of volunteers to help us complete the following projects on our wish list. 

These projects will allow us to expand and move animals to safer enclosures as they grow up with us during baby season. 

These projects are for 18 years of age and older. Require physical labor and some construction skills/experience. 

Immediate Need:

• Raccoon Enclosure Reset (8' x 8' enclosures)
  • Move 12"x12" in pavers from pallets to raccoon enclosures in preparation for laying (supplies available)
  • Clear out enclosures (dirt, debris, toys, pallets)
  • Lay dig wire on ground
  • Lay pavers throughout enclosure
  • Add pallets, side shade walls and toys/playground equipment

Next Projects:

• Metal Roofing & Side Walls On Opossum & Skunk Enclosures
  • Corrugated tin roofs with wood support (supplies available) 
  • Side walls added
  • Tarps and sun shades removed and disposed

 

• Mulch Added To Walk Ways
  • Moving mulch into the walk areas and spreading 
  • Mulch on site 

 

• Pavers Applied To Main, Enclosure 2 and Enclosure 3 and Bar Area
  • Add pavers to each enclosure area to reduce mud
  • Add pavers behind the bar area for events
  • Pavers on site
